No configuration of this step is necessary and it will automatically serialise all supported CDM fields to valid CERIF XML. This step also performs validation of the resulting document against the CERIF schema. As a result, it is not possible that the resulting XML document contains invalid CERIF if this step completes without reporting any errors.
